Brynn - 1997 |
"James Bond" |
There is a track from Something Rotten, the musical, that sums up my Brynnie: “Right Hand Man.” She absolutely did NOT, thank the good Lord, pick up any of my personality traits. Cool as a cuke, anti-drama, anti-glam, but man, you want her on your side when you are in a pickle.
She is the best friend you want controlling the mace when you walk down a dark alley, and the passenger you want controlling the emergency door when you get stuck sitting in the middle seat in economy in the exit row on a long flight. Her commentary is so ridiculous you will pee-pee your pants, but she is spot on, on time, driver, babysitter, and my go-to for everything. She still has this really curly hair that when she was younger looked a lot like Freddie “Boom Boom” Washington on Welcome Back Kotter. |

I can recall a time when she was about three, and got a brush stuck right in the front, similar to a 1973 mod fashion trend. She even mastered a dread-lock so huge and strangely entangled that WD40 couldn’t penetrate it. We had to cut off 10” of her hair, but she was so proud to donate to Locks of Love she barely knew it was missing. My Brynn remains passive but so funny and an accomplished equestrian and volleyball player.
After eleven years of private, Catholic education, she discovered academics her freshman year at Manhattan College, and is proud to be a Jasper, class of 2019.
